What is LAC between India and China?why LAC in news?

      Now LAC between India and China currently in news due to face off indian soldiers and China's solders which results in to casualties of both sides solders which become dispute of border now between India and China. So let's know about LAC....

          The full form of LAC is " Line of Actual Control" which is border between India and China. LAC is separating the eastern Ladakh territory of India and Aksai China. Basically it is border between two countries. In western sector LAC referred as only " Line of control" we called as LOC which also border between two countries.


      


       LAC form the effective border together with Mcmohan line into the east and small undesputed section between China and India. The total Sino-Indian border within LAC is 4056km which touch to the Indian state and territories include  Ladakh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and from the China side Tibetan Autonomous region touch with this border. 

     

       The term LAC first used by Zhow Enlai  and latter Jawaharlal Nehru. This term referred to line formed after 1962 sino- indian war.1962 to 1993 LAC was not officially      accepted countries. This LAC officially accepted at " Bilateral Agreemen" 

   But no official boundry had ever been negotiate between China and India. Indian government claim that western sector similar to Johnson Lin 1865 and China consider boundry lines similar MaCartney MacDonald line 1899. That's why this boundry line become issue between two countries many times.
