What is UNSC? what does the UNSC do?

Currently UNSC is in the news because of India elected as UNSC non permanent member for two years which is important for India as well other countries who want to see the india as permanent member of UNSC because india always stand for the peace and many other matters so let's know about UNSC. 
 

  1. What is UNSC?

UNSC full form is "  United Nations security council"  UN is an international organisations founded in 1945.it is currently made up of 193 members state. The year of 2020 mark the 75th anniversary of the United Nations.  The UN charter establish the membership of UNSC. According to the UN charter article 23 " The security council shall consist of fifteen (15) members of the United Nations.
 - five permanent members with veto power including China, France, Russian federation, United Kingdom of great Britain and Northern Ireland, United States of America.
- Ten (10)  non permanent members for two years term. Out of 10 five members retired every year and new Five members elected for two years.

When the UNSC forms original there were 11 members of security council only where 5 permanent and 6 non permanent members. In1963 the general assembly recommend an amendment to the character to increase the membership of security council so amendment implementation take place change and increase in non permanent members now it is 10 where
- 5 from  Africa and Asian state.
- 1 from Eastern uropean state.
- 2 from Latin American state.
- 2 from Western uropean and other state.

India has been elected as non permanent member as 8 time and for 16 years. 
 
2.        What does the UNSC do?
The mission and work of United Nations are guide by the purposes and principles containing it's founding charter.UNSC is powerful body of UN  6 principles organ which responsible for the maintenance of peace  and security . which deals with those case which viloted for World case by case and  also deals with other crises.

What is LAC ?
